Paris has always captivated me. Since childhood, I&apos;ve dreamed of moving there to pursue a career as a fashion designer or singer. My grandmother would lovingly listen to these stories and write them down for me, and she still keeps all the notebooks filled with my countless tales. When I imagined Paris, I often focused on the Eiffel Tower, probably because it was the only landmark I knew. For some reason, Paris has always been a city of dreams for me. My childhood bedroom was Paris-themed, and I would wear berets and tutus, pretending to be a ballerina around the house. Perhaps it was the first time I tried a croissant or the influence of my American Girl Doll, Grace, but my obsession with Paris was deeply rooted in my childhood. I had forgotten about this part of me until the moment captured in the picture on the right. On our first night in Paris, we saw the Eiffel Tower in all its glory during a Seine boat ride. I was shocked at how tall it was in person. I know it sounds silly, but having seen the replica in Vegas, I thought they were similar in size. I was only eight, so cut me some slack. A few nights later, Kaytie, Charlie, and I secured tickets to the top of the Eiffel Tower around 10 PM. While I was excited, it wasn&apos;t a must-do on my agenda. Kaytie and I grabbed Indian food, had a couple of juice cocktails, and made our way to the Eiffel Tower. When we passed it on the train, I felt indifferent. I had been wowed on day one, but that night, it didn&apos;t stir any strong emotions. After a quick restroom stop, we got in line to see Paris from a bird&apos;s-eye view. We made a pitstop on the second level before loading into the elevator to reach the top. I stood by the door, feeling a sense of anticipation. It wasn&apos;t exactly anticipation, but I knew something significant was about to happen. When the elevator doors opened, we stepped out, and I walked to the nearest free spot on the fence. Then, something truly unexpected happened. I started bawling and laughing like a madwoman. People began to notice, but I couldn&apos;t stop. Every time I tried to calm down, more tears and laughter came. I thought about my parents&apos; sacrifices to put me in this position. I realized how little my grandmothers had and how they had hardly left the country in their combined 152 years of life. At 19, I had traveled further than anyone in my family for leisure and education. I recognized the privilege I had and was overwhelmed with emotion. I realized how I was achieving one of my childhood dreams just by being there at such a young age. It was a powerful moment for me. But then things took a turn. To my horror, I saw a woman I dubbed Mommy Blogger Molly (MBM). She was in her late 30s to early 40s, with bleach blonde hair, a tiny waist, and, of course, a couple of kids and a camera. While I&apos;m not certain she was a mommy blogger, she definitely had that vibe. What she did next will scar me forever. MBM grabbed my arm, gently caressed it, and loudly announced to everyone on the top level of the Eiffel Tower that I &quot;was having my moment&quot; and that I &quot;needed to feel this and heal.&quot; I was mortified. I&apos;m not a crier, especially not in public, so this was just the worst thing that could happen to me, right? WRONG! I turned around to see about seven GCS students watching the whole scene unfold. In that moment, I could have hurled myself off the tower.

If you migrate your account to ArcGIS Online, you will have access to your existing stories, collections, and themes via ArcGIS StoryMaps, as well as an array of additional ArcGIS capabilities. (Your frames will be migrated and accessible when support for frames is added to ArcGIS StoryMaps.)
